Verbal Capital — Human Communication Advisory

Human communication

The idea is vivid inside you.Now make it vivid inside them.

You can spend years building something extraordinary and still lose people in the few minutes it takes to explain it.

I help founders, thought leaders, speakers, and executives close the distance between what they know, what they believe, and what another person experiences when they speak.

The words are only the beginning.

The human signal

Polished words are becoming abundant.Human communication is not.

AI can help us write, summarize, organize, and prepare. That is useful.

But when polished language becomes abundant, another signal becomes more valuable:

  • Presence.
  • Judgment.
  • Responsiveness.
  • Emotional truth.

The ability to read the room, respond in real time, and make another human being feel the future you can already see.

The last interface is human.

Speakers + Thought Leaders + Founders

Some ideas need a stage. Others need a room.

A keynote. A signature talk. A moment when your experience, expertise, or point of view needs to become something an audience can feel—not simply understand.

I work with speakers, thought leaders, and executives to shape what they want to say and develop the presence to make it land.

Because the most powerful presentations don't just deliver information. They change what people see as possible.

The meeting went fine. That may be the problem.

Nobody objected.

They nodded. They asked sensible questions. They said it was interesting.

And then nothing happened.

So you went back to the deck.

Another slide. More context. More evidence. More explanation.

But sometimes the deck is not where the problem lives.

When the value of an idea is completely obvious to you, it is surprisingly difficult to remember what it feels like to encounter it for the first time.

The listener is not standing where you are standing yet.

Your job is to bring them there.

Founders have to create belief before there is proof.

Early-stage companies cannot fully speak for themselves yet.

The product is evolving.

The market is forming.

The evidence is incomplete.

The future is still becoming real.

Which means the founder becomes part of the evidence.

Investors, customers, partners, and recruits are not only asking:

“Does this make sense?”

They are also deciding:

“Do I believe this person can make that future real?”

Your deck carries information. You carry belief.

About Annie

I learned communication from the room.

From performing onstage to directing behind the camera, I've spent my career bringing stories and ideas to life. In Hollywood, that meant pitching films and television projects, securing financing, and bringing together the people who could turn an idea into reality. At one of the world's most influential technology companies, I learned what happens when creativity, experience, and communication are considered down to the smallest detail. Today, I bring those experiences to my work with founders, leaders, and speakers, helping them turn what they see so clearly in their own minds into something others can see and believe in, too.

Different rooms. Different stakes. The same human question:

What makes another person believe?

Ways to work together

Ways to work together

Founder Sprint

Make the idea as compelling to others as it is to you.

For founders preparing to pitch investors, win customers, build partnerships, or inspire their teams. We clarify the story, strengthen the message, and develop your ability to create belief in the room.

High-Stakes Intensive

Be ready when the moment arrives.

For an important presentation, pitch, keynote, or conversation already on the calendar. Focused preparation and rehearsal to strengthen your delivery, sharpen your presence, and make the room feel what you mean.

Message to Presence

Turn what you know into something people feel.

For speakers, coaches, thought leaders, and executives with an important message to share. Whether we're starting with an idea or transforming an existing script, we shape the story, find your authentic voice, and create a presentation you can truly inhabit.

Before the next important room, let's talk.

Bring the pitch, the presentation, the meeting, or simply the feeling that people are not yet experiencing the idea the way you do.

We'll figure out where the communication is losing energy, and whether I am the right person to help.
